Montana Roundup, Part III

  • A woman who swears she parks her vehicle in the same spot on Second Avenue East every day returned to find the car stolen. Officers found it a couple blocks away, locked.
  • The 2-year-old child in camo clothing found wandering with his dog in an alley behind Eighth Avenue West didn't talk to the person who approached. Police tracked down the child's father and had a talk. Another neighbor said those parents often let their small children roam.
  • A man who got uppity with the bouncer at a Lakeside bar wanted to file assault charges against the man.
  • A jar of frosting wielded by a Bigfork resident's 21-year-old son was used to break out a window.
  • An angry man, who apparently believed someone had stolen his bucket of mushrooms at Sylvia Lake, reportedly fired a gun at the suspected thief. The target, who said he hadn't taken the man's fungi, called the Flathead County Sheriff's Office after a bullet hit a tree by his head.
  • Fifteen kids waiting for the dishwasher of a Main Street restaurant to finish his shift took off after police were called.
  • A wedding band went missing somewhere in the Kalispell area. I'm not sure if they're referring to a wedding band, as in a ring, or as in some sort of jazzy quartet that sings "We are Family".
and my favorite:

Half the valley is on alert to kill him, a man reported his estranged wife told him.

The price of human life in Montana = 1 bucket of fungi.
